Backdated a Price? We'll Fix the Invoices.
Renegotiated a rate after the work was billed? That usually means a spreadsheet, a stack of invoices and an afternoon of credit notes. With Micronomy, you enter the new price with the date it applies from, and we work out the rest.

Change the Price. Confirm the Impact.
Four steps from a renegotiated rate to correct invoices.
Enter the change
Set the new price and the date it applies from, even if that date is months ago.
Review the impact
See every invoice the customer already has, whether it becomes a credit or an extra charge, and the exact amount.
Confirm
Approve that exact impact. If anything changes before you confirm, we ask you to take another look.
Corrections drafted
Credit notes and supplementary invoices are drafted for you, ready to review before they're sent.
Coming soonBuilt for Getting It Right.
Every safeguard finance asks for, built in.
Accurate to the hour
Every billed hour is re-priced with the same engine that produced the original invoice, on the day it was worked. Evening and weekend supplements included.
Nothing corrected twice
Lines that have already been credited are left out, so a customer is never refunded twice for the same hours.
Problems flagged, never guessed
If an hour can't be re-priced, you see which one and why. The change waits until it's sorted.
Originals stay untouched
Corrections are separate documents linked to the original invoice. Your books stay clean and your audit trail stays complete.
Respects work in progress
If a colleague is already preparing a correction on an invoice, the automatic one waits its turn, and the invoice shows it's pending.
Coming soonFixed fees too
Backdated changes to monthly, quarterly or yearly fixed fees will be corrected the same way.

Common Questions.
Do corrections go straight to my customer?
No. When automatic corrections arrive, they'll be created as drafts, so your finance team reviews them before anything is sent.
What happens to invoices that haven't been sent yet?
Draft invoices are listed separately in the review, so you can see they were priced at the old rate and update them before sending. Cancelled invoices are left out, because their hours are billed again at the new rate.
What if an invoice has already been partly credited?
Only the lines that haven't been credited count towards the correction. Hours that were already refunded are never corrected again.
What if something changes between reviewing and confirming?
Your confirmation covers exactly the impact you reviewed. If a new invoice is sent or someone else edits the pricing in the meantime, Micronomy asks you to review the updated impact first.
Can I make more than one backdated change?
Yes. Each change is recorded with its own date range, and the most recent change wins where two overlap. You can also set an end date, after which the previous price applies again.
